History

MPSE is part of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd(MHI) which operates across the world and employs more than 60,000 people.

Our parent company, which began life in Japan in 1884, manufactures over 700 different industrial products ranging from giant super-tankers to fuel cells.

From its earliest days, MHI has been closely involved in energy generation, designing developing and running conventional, nuclear and sustainable power projects across the world.

We are one of the world leaders in gas and steam turbines and in nuclear power. Our group has been in the vanguard of research and development of wind turbines and other renewable energy sources.

With the urgent need to combat climate change, we have put new focus and investment into research, development and delivery of advanced technological solutions to the world’s energy needs including carbon capture, offshore turbines and solar power. In everything we do, we strive to behave in a responsible manner which accepts our obligations to our staff, our customers, the wider community and our planet.
